Below are some useful things to know about your calendar:
- Clients don't see your calendar view. Rather, they only see dates and times you're available.
Here's a look from the client's perspective:
- The team at Boon has access to viewing your Acuity calendar. If you'd like to make your personal calendar events private (from the team), you can select "Show as Busy" in Acuity. Boon will still be able to see your Boon client appointments.
-
- In Acuity, click "Sync with Other Calendar"
- Select the checkbox below that says: Hide Event Title and only show "Busy" to other users

- If you have an event in your calendar (like someone's birthday, or a tentative meeting) but you want to be available for clients during that time:
- In Gmail: Make events "free," rather than busy in your calendar
- In Outlook: Make events "free" and "private" to bypass Acuity all together

- A 15 minute buffer is automatically attached to the end of all Boon appointments. This is so that there's time between appointments (in case an appointment runs over, and so you can take a break between appointments).
- In this example, Alexis Cohen is the coach and Lexi Testing is the client. Lexi's appointment is scheduled from 12pm-12:30pm, and there's a buffer time of 15 minutes. Another client can book after at or after 12:45pm.

- After making updates to your calendar, you can always "see what the client will see" by viewing your specific Acuity scheduling link.
- Go to Scheduling Page Link
- Find your name in the dropdown menu (scroll all the way down). In this case, the Boon coach is Alexis Cohen
- Click on your link that populates your calendar
